Why tile only

General remodelers do tile between other trades. That is fine work on simple jobs, but tile is unforgiving in specific ways: mortar coverage, flatness tolerance, movement accommodation and continuous waterproofing are all invisible once the job is finished, and all of them are the difference between a floor that lasts thirty years and one that telegraphs cracks in three.

Doing one trade every day is how those details stay reflexive rather than looked up.

How we quote

We do not give square-foot pricing over the phone. Two identical-looking bathrooms in the same Boise neighborhood can differ by a large margin depending on what is under the existing floor, and a number given before looking is a number that changes later. We visit, check the substrate, and write the scope with the prep itemized separately so you can see exactly what you are buying.

What we will tell you honestly

• When a repair is genuinely enough and a rebuild is not necessary.
• When the tile you have chosen is a poor match for the substrate or the room, and what changes.
• When your floor needs structural attention that is outside tile work, so you can bring in the right trade.
• When a project is too small or too far for us to schedule sensibly.

Standards we work to

Assemblies follow published industry methods for substrate flatness, deflection limits, mortar coverage and waterproofing, and manufacturer instructions for the specific membranes and mortars used on your job. Where a manufacturer requirement and a shortcut conflict, we follow the manufacturer — that is what keeps a product warranty intact and keeps the assembly performing.
