Tile installation in Eagle, Idaho

Custom and semi-custom homes where the detail expectations are higher: stone, panels, curbless entries and long uninterrupted floor runs.

Eagle skews toward custom construction and larger footprints, and the tile work follows: natural stone, gauged porcelain panels, curbless primary showers, and floor runs long enough that a small layout error compounds visibly across a room.

These projects are less about volume and more about tolerance. The scope of prep is typically larger because the finish leaves nowhere to hide.

What we find under Eagle floors

Natural stone needs a stiffer floor

Marble, travertine and other natural stone are less forgiving than porcelain and the industry deflection limit doubles to L/720. In homes with long open spans that can mean added structural stiffening before stone is a reasonable choice — or a recommendation to use a porcelain that reproduces the stone instead. We would rather have that conversation before the slab is ordered.

Curbless showers in custom framing

Eagle primary baths are the most frequent place we build true curbless entries. Done properly it means recessing the framing so the shower floor and bathroom floor finish flush, sloping to a linear drain, and extending waterproofing beyond the shower opening because water will travel further than the enclosure.

Long floor runs and continuous sightlines

Open custom plans often run one tile from the entry through the great room and hall. That demands control lines established from the whole-house layout rather than room by room, plus movement joints at the intervals the assembly needs — including at doorways and changes of plane, where they are easy to hide.

Foothills sun and slab exposure

South and west glazing in foothills homes puts real solar gain on interior floors. Tile assemblies in direct sunlight expand more than shaded ones, which makes properly placed perimeter and field movement joints less optional than people assume.

What Eagle homeowners ask us for most

  • Large-format tile

Panels and 24x48 formats for floors, fireplace surrounds and shower walls in custom homes.

  • Tile shower installation

Curbless primary showers with linear drains, benches and full-height stone or panel walls.

  • Shower waterproofing

Complex wet rooms and steam showers where the detailing carries the entire assembly.

Eagle tile questions

Do you install gauged porcelain panels?
Yes. Panels need flat, plumb substrates, wet cutting on a rail, suction handling, and drilled corners at every cutout. It is slower work than standard tile and we schedule and price it that way.
Can we do a wet room with a freestanding tub inside?
Yes, and it is one of the more common custom requests here. The whole enclosure becomes waterproofed floor and wall, the drain and slope must handle the full area, and the tub filler location needs to be settled before waterproofing so penetrations are sealed correctly.
Will you work with our designer or architect?
Regularly. Getting tile setter input during design usually saves money, because layout, offset limits and substrate requirements are cheap to change on paper and expensive to change on site.
